Labor commit $1 million to support Landcare in SA

The Landcare Association of South Australia welcome the commitment made by the South Australian Labor Party on the 9th of November to support Landcare volunteer coordination in South Australia with $1 million if elected.

This funding will be used to employ a State Landcare Coordinator to support volunteer groups, run small grant schemes to supply Landcare groups with equipment and materials and to create an insurance scheme that will allow all Landcare groups to operate safely. This is an exciting development and will allow Landcare community groups in South Australia to work safely and become bigger and better in the future.

We welcome similar pledges from the South Australian Liberal Party ahead of the State Election in March 2022.
