State Landcare Conference 2026
The 2026 State Landcare Conference will bring us back to where it all begins – the grassroots. Seven years since our last gathering, this conference is about reconnecting, listening, and learning from one another. With the theme “Growing Strong Together: Grassroots Landcare in Action” and a focus on Community – Climate – Place, it will celebrate the voices and experiences of Landcarers across South Australia.
The conference will create space for collaboration, where local groups, volunteers, Traditional Owners, industry, and government can come together to share ideas and strengthen partnerships. It’s about highlighting the practical stories and diverse needs of communities, while also exploring how we can collectively shape a resilient future.
Join us to reignite the spirit of connectedness that defines Landcare – celebrating what unites us, and working together for people, place, and purpose.
Date: Friday 16 – Saturday 17 October 2026

Bridges Event Centre is South Australia's largest regional event facility, strategically located in Murray Bridge — the heart of the Murraylands and one of the fastest-growing regions in the state. Situated just 80 km east of Adelaide, the centre offers excellent accessibility for metropolitan, regional, and interstate visitors, making it an ideal conference destination.
Occupying a prominent position adjacent to the Murray Bridge Racing Club in Gifford Hill, Bridges Event Centre boasts versatile indoor and outdoor event spaces, contemporary design, and premium technical infrastructure. Floor-to-ceiling windows draw in abundant natural light across multiple spaces, large and small.
Reflecting the regional character of the Murraylands, Bridges Event Centre maintains strong connections with the local community and economy. Wherever possible, the centre works with local suppliers, food and beverage producers, and service providers, supporting sustainability through reduced supply chain transport and strengthening regional business partnerships.
Explore Murray Bridge
An aquatic playground on the banks of the Murray River.
Murray Bridge is a bustling rural town in a prime position on the banks of the Murray River. Less than an hour from Adelaide, wind back the clock to 'river time' and kick back on a leisurely houseboat or float away to a world of relaxation on The Cube. Amp up the pace and hit the river wakeboarding, water skiing, swimming and fishing, or go on an African safari and get up close and personal with lions, giraffes and rhinoceros at Monarto Safari Park. Come nightfall, look to the skies; with low rainfall, clear skies and virtually no light pollution, the outskirts of Murray Bridge are one of the best spots to explore the cosmos in South Australia.
Accommodation
Planning to stay in the region? Murray Bridge and surrounds offer a range of options from hotels and motels to riverside cabins and caravan parks.
