South Australia’s Landcare community is once again showcasing its best, with the announcement of the exceptional finalists for the 2026 South Australian Landcare Awards. These awards honour the dedication, innovation and passion of individuals, groups and networks who are leading the way in sustainable land management and environmental stewardship across the state.

Following thorough assessment by the judging panels, finalists have been selected across multiple award categories, each demonstrating outstanding commitment and delivering meaningful, lasting impact in their communities.

2026 SA Landcare Awards Ceremony

We’re delighted to welcome Sophie Thomson from Gardening Australia as MC for the 2026 South Australian Landcare Awards, taking place on Friday, 16 October at the Bridges Event Centre, Murray Bridge. The Awards ceremony include a 2-course dinner and a presentation by Guest Speaker, the Hon Peter Garrett AM FTSE, Chair of Landcare Australia. 

The Awards shine a light on remarkable South Australians who are taking meaningful climate action and helping build healthier, more resilient landscapes and communities. They recognise the breadth of our Landcare movement — volunteers, community groups, farmers, landholders, First Nations leaders and the next generation of Landcarers — all united in their commitment to caring for our state and tackling local environmental issues.
