Echunga Community Association

The Echunga Community Association has revitalised unused public land in Echunga to create a community park. This has involved, and continues to require, planting and maintenance of trees, shrubs and ground cover. Weed management, erosion management. Creation of family friendly facilities - BBQ, Fairy garden, bike track - to encourage the community to spend more time outdoors and engaging with their neighbours. Some of the next projects the Association is considering include the planting of a koala corridor through multiple land holdings, and encouraging land holders to plant more species that support native birds.
