The aims of the Association are to: Care for the natural environment by preserving and enhancing the biodiversity and sustainability of the region. ("Region" means the land, rivers, sea, islands & air of the general area of the Southern Fleurieu, and as may be determined by the Management Committee). The objects of the Association are: a. Research, facilitate, develop, promote, support and/or implement biodiversity and sustainability concepts and projects. b. Promote, advocate, educate, inform, and encourage the community to adopt proactive biodiversity and sustainability thinking and behaviours. c. Create opportunities for the community to volunteer and support the Association's initiatives and programs. Such opportunities may include a Community Nursery as a resource of plants. d. Engage and collaborate with the Indigenous community to achieve these aims and objects. e. Engage proactively with government, businesses, other community groups/associations and the community drawing on their goodwill, experience, skills, resources, and funding to achieve these aims and objects. f. To do all things which the Association and/or Management Committee may think necessary or desirable for promoting the Objects of the Association.
