Mount Burr Trails Incorporated

Mount Burr Trails Inc. is a volunteer community group dedicated to creating and maintaining family friendly, educational, nature-based trails and the restoration of natural habitat. Surrounded by pine plantations, our 25 hectare patch of Crown Land adjacent to Mount Burr township, serves as an island sanctuary for a diversity of native plants and animals. Our activities largely involve the planting and nurturing of native plants, the control of noxious weeds and the maintenance of trail infrastructure. We are also focussed on encouraging outdoor education and community involvement through the creation of a bush foods garden, a nature play area, interpretive signage and a group meeting place or outdoor 'classroom'. Our group meets regularly on Friday mornings for a working bee, although we can be found doing something any day of the week and helpers are most welcome at any time.
