Diversity in Landcare

The Landcare Association of South Australia Inc (LASA). acknowledges the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the Traditional Owners of the lands and waters across Australia. We honour their deep and continuing connection to land, sea, and community, and pay our respects to Elders past and present. Landcare is strengthened when Indigenous knowledge, values, and leadership guide our collective efforts to heal and sustain our landscapes.

LASA strives to be an inclusive workplace and community for people from diverse cultures, backgrounds and life experiences. We aim to create a safe and welcoming Landcare community in SA, and encourage Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island peoples, those with multicultural backgrounds, people with a disability and members of the LGBTQIA+ community to reach out to us to discuss how you can become involved in Landcare and our organisation.

LASA encourages the Landcare community to build inclusive, accessible, and welcoming spaces for everyone. We provide learning opportunities and practical resources — from plain-language communication to cultural awareness and diversity training — and work closely with Aboriginal communities, guided by our Indigenous Engagement Working Group.
