We are a long standing group currently actively working on 5 worksites along Sixth Creek, 3 along Merchants Road in Basket Range and two on Corkscrew Road Montacute. Our aim is to restore the riparian areas of the creek to near natural condition by removal of invasive weeds, encouraging natural regeneration of native species where possible and re-introducing plants with local provenance.
We rely on grants from state and local government, philanthropic donations and input of volunteer effort. We also run community education sessions aimed and improving understanding and appreciation of the natural environment. We are an incorporated body with a management committee which meets once a month.
