WEC (Willunga Environment Centre) is part of a network of 9 community-based Environment Centres in South Australia. WEC covers the Willunga Basin area, which is bounded by Pedler Creek, Kangarilla, Willunga and Sellicks Beach. WEC activities including encouraging & supporting the community in achieving environmental and economic sustainability in the Willunga Basin and surrounding areas, engaging in local environmental projects, facilitating access to training and knowledge, educating and informing the community through regular guest speaker workshops on a diverse range of topics, hosting the YACCA (Youth and Community in Conservation Action) Project, which connects school-aged students to the environment and gives them skills to take positive sustainable action.
