Mount Burr Trails Inc. is a volunteer community landcare group dedicated to maintaining safe, family friendly, nature-based trails and to the rehabilitation of natural habitat within a 25 hectare parcel of land adjacent to the Mount Burr township. The landscape (which was once heavily grazed and somewhat degraded) is varied with Eucalyptus woodland, Acacia and sheoak regrowth, open grassland and numerous local native species planted by our volunteers and community members. Our activities largely involve the planting and nurturing of native plants, the control of noxious weeds and the maintenance of trail infrastucture. Most work is undertaken by our small working group at Friday morning working bees although you can find a few members doing something any day of the week.
