The Echunga Community Association has revitalised unused public land in Echunga to create a community park. This has involved:

• and continues to require planting and maintenance of trees, shrubs and ground cover,
• weed management, erosion management, and;
• creation of family friendly facilities – BBQ, fairy garden, bike track – to encourage the community to spend more time outdoors and engaging with their neighbours.

Some of the next projects the Association is considering include the planting of a koala corridor through multiple land holdings, and encouraging land holders to plant more species that support native birds.
