Barossa Bushgardens is a regional native flora centre, conserving, promoting and supplying the Barossa region’s unique local native plants. Idyllically situated on a seven hectare site in Nuriootpa, this community project provides a reference point for anyone wishing to learn more about the region’s local native plants.
Barossa Bushgardens boasts seven display gardens, such as the “CFS Fire-wise Garden”, the “Truly Australian Front Garden”, the “Sensory Garden”, the “Eremophila Garden”, the “Sanctuary Garden” and “The Old Gum Tree” tree restoration project.
Walking trails, interpretive signage and individually signed plants make a leisurely stroll through the gardens a worthwhile experience.
Over 100 local native plants are propagated onsite and can be purchased from the Barossa Bushgardens Nursery. We offer information a range local native plants according to soil type and location to help you plant successfully in your area.
