The Gums Landcare Group invites you to the second 2017 Working Bee to commence work on priorities at The Gums Reserve
When: Sunday 21st May, 2017 from 1000 to 1130.
Where: please meet near the corner of Freeman Ave, Tranmere, adjacent to #38 Freeman Ave.
Activity: cut and swab seedling woody weeds along Third Creek through The Gums using long handled loppers and small pruning saws and dabbers containing glyphosate. Where obvious we will also chip out weeds amongst the planted native vegetation.
Please bring: gloves, long handled loppers, long-handled hoes or mattocks, your hat and water.
We will also discuss the start date of the Green Army team, which will be working with us over the next 6 months, from 13 June.
A welcome event is being planned for Wednesday 14 June at Brookside Cellars, Moore Street (the former Sea Scouts Hall). Please pencil the date in your diary and more information will be forthcoming once VIPs are contacted and the Green Army team is organised.
